When it comes to the design and physical form of the BlackBerry Q10 it is not as much stylish. The screen too seems to be rather disappointing, as it looks small in size. However, BlackBerry Z10 gives you the freedom of larger screen to scroll, navigate and perform touch gestures. The trouble with Q10 is that you will not be able to navigate or even perform touch gestures. The screen is too small that while attempting to launch an app or scroll through you might accidentally exit it. For example, you want to scroll through a page to read the content; the system will automatically exit the application. You will be back to home page. A scroll might be interpreted as swipe back to home gesture. Other thing annoying about it is that the phone will turn on with the slightest of friction when it is pocketed. The screen is so sensitive that the default settings are rendered useless. If only BlackBerry had included a physical home button then this might be resolved.
Apps
After purchasing a new phone you will like to download apps on it, with Q10 you might be disappointed. Just after downloading an app you might discover that it is broken. There are not many apps for this phone in the market; downloading apps not suited to this handset will annoy you. The display might not come out as expected. You might see that the UI is cut out of the screen and the display is distorted. Apps like Instagram and Netflix are again missing from its standard apps version.
Keyboard
The physical keyboard is good, if you are not bothered about the other two aspects like unavailability of suitable apps and touch screen. The keyboard is easy to type without any errors; the keys are ridged that enables in soft touch typing without any performance lag. You will never find a moment to complain about its physical keyboard. Your thumbs will not tire attempting to construct an e-mail or a message. Additionally, keyboard shortcuts will help you navigate faster.
Bottom Line
The BlackBerry Q10 is a good phone if you are waiting for a handset with QWERTY keypad. Additionally, you will get $250 as retailing with a contract of two year. You might find other things like broken apps, missing home button and navigation a cumbersome task. It is your call if you still would like to purchase it.
